Death by Happy Life By Joy is a journey to re-become the JOYFULIST you were made to be.......GB
------------------------------------------------------ Crab Apple Tree If resentment were a comfortable shady tree for us to rest under, bitterness would be its fruit. No one will ever get better while eating the fruit of bitterness and resting under the tree of resentment….ever. How long will we seek rest in the shade of the resentment tree while the bitter fruit falls on our heads reminding us to move? How many times have you carved your initials in the tree’s bark of judgment and blamed it on another? The light that the resentment tree blocks is a healing and good light. Stand up and step away from the tree and into the light. Don’t be afraid of what the light exposes. Things will get better as we stop consuming bitter. Turn that Frown Upside Down The reflection of a person’s joy is in their smile. The smile disarms all as we immediately have a sense of joy in reflection. A smile dismisses all things happy and reveals joy. You may want to argue that when people smile they are happy and I will surely disagree. Your argument will reflect the broken programing and conditioning you suffer from. Smiles more often are a reaction to satisfaction, contentment and something simply pleasing. They could also be used to show kindness and patience. These are also the products of a joyful reaction. It is typical for us to conditionally mislabel a smile as happiness. Even a smile has a longer life span and greater appreciation by those giving and receiving than happy. Have you Ever The smile of a child is like nothing else in the world. By far the most defusing, disarming and instant reflection of joy. It is as if the purist of light shines from them, causing all of the anythings we have clouded ourselves with to disappear in that moment. I travel a lot. I was sitting in my desired isle seat headed home from a business trip on yet another broke down airplane seat. No worries, all was typical and smooth. The people all around me were stowing their bags and settling into their seats when that little forehead and eyes peeked over the back of the seat in front of me. I thought to myself “hmmmm… this should be interesting.” The cute fore head and eyes smiled at me, I mean that I didn’t even see that little girls lips yet and they were smiling. As she glanced around sharing her joy with the others in my area she raised up higher in her seat. Yup, there it was, the cutest tooth missing little girl smile in the world. I was amazed at the way her smile had drawn everyone in that seating area in. It seemed as if each person had their own way to try and get her to smile more. All of my thoughts, concerns and cares went away as that amazing smile commanded and reigned supreme over all in its sight. Eventually she was required to sit properly in her seat as we prepared to depart. I also noticed that the people around me continually smiled at each other sharing the joy that they had been shared with by that beautiful little girl. There are NO do Overs There are NO do overs, my friend. We are allowed only so many rides around on this spinning rock. We cannot undo anything. Take full advantage of this opportunity NOW. Remember, we are were not designed as a beast of burden, therefore are we are not required to carry the loads and loads of junk that life has given to drag us down. |
